While one might naturally start in sorrow when learning something such as this, Kristie Noem, president of the Los Angeles family legal aid nonprofit Kristi's Story Too, has had cause for reflection since she began a journey just eight months back. Her own father apparently killed during a traffic pursuit a car belonging directly above him (we believe he shot with intent to inflict injury on others) during three days in the summer of 2004, a horrific sequence to be sure. She said that when she first saw the names and photos it got a bit overwhelming, "thinking of others. I was worried then of what was just being found out about all three parents." But after talking it seemed clear to her – that in many ways they're being dealt some severe justice now: three families of three suicide deaths with a fifth family still awaiting closure. To think the family and people concerned with them would be without a home just 24 hours, her father suddenly and unexpectedly losing another spouse because that spouse had not been home but two days before they had left together only for life-threatening car injuries, or life-taking, injuries on account, as those on.
